What is MDF?

HDF – High Density Fibreboard is a wood fiber board which is characterized by high hardness and higher density. This is usually a thin plate as an alternative to plywood.
How they work?
The common used HDF and MDF are manufactured under strict conditions. Shredded wood fibers are pounded and patched with resin. Then dried and formed into a continuous mat. One is cut into sheets, which is subjected to high temperature and big pressure. The result is a material of uniform composition throughout the section. Also noteworthy is the enormous density of the plate, which often exceeds by up to 50% of the density of solid wood. MDF are extremely hard. Consequently, this translates into high durability door made of this material. It is therefore often chosen by people involved in building and renovating housing. Unfortunately we cannot use it in places where there is high humidity such as the bathroom, because they are not water resistant.
